The Rolfer™
I am thrilled whenever I have a chance to speak about Rolfing and how it works. It is a real privilege to have been given the opportunity to come in touch with, and be touched by, this work.
My story began with a terrible shoulder injury sustained from my falls during my stint on competitive horse riding. My injury was compounded by wrong techniques of working out. Looking around for varied solutions to alleviate and relieve my pain, I tried many popular methods of pain relief for a good 2 years but these methods provided mere temporal relief and the pain persisted.
I was subsequently introduced to Rolfing. My Rolfer back then, Ferran Moreno, worked on me for 10 sessions and much of my pain was relieved and never came back. The work triggered my curiosity and I began my study on Rolfing. As I progressed in my studies, I realised that Rolfing is more than just a therapy, it is a movement towards one's wholeness of being. Rolfing provides an insight into the human body - the way it works, the way it balances and the way it moves. The re-organisation of one's tensegrity structure reestablishes the natural alignment of the human body, improving the body's relationship to gravity, giving it more freedom, ease and efficiency. A smooth flow of forces through the body would then lead ultimately toward the alleviation of pain. It follows that it is an all-encompassing solution to pain with its focus on the entire body. The whole person evidences a more apparent positive physical, physiological and psychological change. I have found that Rolfing has greatly benefited and added value to that which I am passionate about - Rock Climbing, Percussion, Dance, Equestrian, Spirituality.
I completed my training in Munich, Germany, with the European Rolfing Association. Since getting certified as a Rolfer™, I have worked with clients from all walks of life and of all ages - Children, Fitness Coaches, Athletes, Business Owners, Corporate professionals, trauma victims and people with disabilities. Everyone has a unique response to the work and I am continually reminded that everyone is and different. It is a great satisfaction being a part of my clients healing process and knowing that my clients have benefited from this work.

"This is the gospel of Rolfing: When the body gets working appropriately, the force of gravity can flow through. Then, spontaneously, the body heals itself."
